Who we are.
A gospel-centered Southern Baptist church in Upland, California, led by Pastor Daniel Knott — gathered around the Word of God and joined together as one family in Christ.
More than a service. A family.
True Community Baptist Church exists to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ. We gather each Sunday not to put on a production, but to worship the living God, sit under the faithful preaching of His Word, and build one another up in love.
We are an autonomous local congregation in friendly cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention. That means we govern ourselves under the lordship of Christ while partnering with churches across the world to send missionaries, plant churches, and serve those in need.
God alone is Lord of the conscience. We treasure our liberty in Christ and our accountability to one another under the authority of His Word.
Above all, we want to be what our name describes: a true community — people who have been reconciled to God through the cross of Jesus, and who, because of that, are being knit together with one another.
The gospel we proclaim.
Everything we do flows from one message: that God, rich in mercy, has made a way for sinners to be saved through His Son.
A holy Creator
There is one true and living God who made all things and made us for Himself — infinite in holiness, righteous in all His ways, and worthy of our worship.
A real problem
Made in God's image, we have nonetheless turned from Him. Our sin separates us from God and leaves us unable to save ourselves.
A perfect Savior
Jesus, fully God and fully man, lived without sin, died in our place, and rose from the grave — making the way for us to be forgiven and restored.
A free gift
Salvation is received, not earned. All who turn from sin and trust Jesus as Lord and Savior are made new and given eternal life.
